Can't see pieces when playing live

An update. Mozilla and Google Chrome don't actually have the problem, only IE11. Maybe that narrows the problem down?

In V3, when no game is being played, the chess board doesn't have any pieces on it, just the chessboard.
Is this normal? It was helpful in V2 to try out some positions or opening tricks while not playing a game. It happens in Chrome in both Windows and Linux.

Found the workaround. The problem was security setting. As soon as www.chess.com has been set as a TRUSTED site the pieces reappeared !

I don't know, just that it doesn't. Or hasn't across any browsers I have used since I started using v3, as far as I can recall.

Where do I do that?
In IE11 go to Tools - Internet options. There select Security tab and press "Sites" button. Add www.chess.com as a Trusted site.
It's a problem on the new site only, the old one works as usual. When selecting live chess I can see the board with coordinates, but no pieces. Even after pressing "play" and my opponent is apparently found I still can't see pieces. It started happening quite recently and I wonder if some of Microsoft updates did that? I am using Win10 with IE11. I tried Google Chrome- the same problem. Any ideas?
