Can't move my bishops, queen, or king

Hey guys, has anybody else experienced this? I cant move my bishops, queen, or king for some reason. I cant even select them (click on them) even though I'm not in check and there are no pawns pinning them in. Even when I'm put in check, I cant move my bishop or queen in front of the king.

I can move pawns, knights, and rooks no problem. This must be a bug. It's almost like it's a setting which won't allow me to move those 4 pieces. If anybody has experienced this before, how did you fix it?

Haven't heard of that.

Many unusual technical problems can be cured by clearing your browser cache and restarting your browser.

Do you play on a Windows 11 computer?

If yes, rebooting your computer might clear the problem. See this post:

Thanks for the response guys. All fixed now, turning my computer off and on again seemed to do the trick. I contacted support about it so if anybody else experiences the same thing, first try rebooting your computer and then read and follow the guidelines below

Hello there!

My name is Zane, I'm from Chess.com Support and I'm contacting you in regards to the report which you've sent recently, I will be very happy to help you! 😁

Thank you for the bug report!
I've talked to our developers about it and it seems that it's a known issue that some parts of the board become non-interactable.

Our developers are currently working on resolving it. I'm really sorry about the trouble!

If you cannot move the pieces on the first row of your chessboard, it may be due to a Windows bug. In Windows, sometimes there is an error where a portion of the bottom of your screen can become un-clickable due to a remnant of the taskbar preview. See this link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-11-cant-click-mouse-anywhere-on-lower-18th/d60b169a-0708-40e5-aad7-895fac0e68ab

Fortunately, you can fix this by either resizing your browser window or chessboard on Chess.com to avoid the un-clickable area.
Restarting your computer also typically resolves the issue

If you're having any further questions or require additional assistance, please send an email to support@chess.com -- we will be more than happy to help you! 😊

Best wishes,
Zane ""
