Can't Set Up Black To Move Puzzle

I am trying to set up a black to move puzzle in v3 which I did successfully the other day but it is currently impossible because the only two options given are white to move!  I even flipped the board to black on the bottom and then cleared the board.  Then when I went to place black's king on the g8 square it was immediately moved to b1!  

I just want Chess.com to be aware of this issue in case nobody else notified you.  And of course hopefully you can fix the problem.

Hi Bryan,

There is a temporary workaround.

  1. Open the Analysis Board Editor in a separate tab or window
  2. Set up the position and select Black to Move
  3. Download the PGN, the default name being pgn_data_analysis.pgn
  4. Open the file pgn_data_analysis.pgn with a text editor and copy the contents
  5. Choose Insert chess game or diagram in the original tab or window
  6. Select Load PGN to paste the contents just copied
  7. Use Details to fill in the specifics of the position
  8. Use Theme to flip board and select puzzle

You know part 6 and 7, but I included them as a complete description for others.

You might ask Chess.com why the Analysis Board Editor works but not the Insert chess game or diagram when posting within a forum.  Oh, wait, don't ask them, they will probably modify the Analysis Board Editor.  frustrated.png

Thanks for the solution Bob.  I didn't need to follow every step you listed but I certainly followed the first two and apparently that was enough to get me going and I figured out what to do from there.
