Chess bots on app playing way above their reported level.

Hi, I think there is a problem with the chess bots on the latest Android app update (17-Feb-2021). They seem to be stuck on a much higher level than reported. For example I just lost to Wayne (rated 250). I checked the analysis and he was playing with 94.6% accuracy rating. Other bots seem to be having the same problem. I've logged out, uninstalled, and then reinstalled the app with the same problems. Any ideas to solve this problem?

Hmm, I guess it's possible. Are you saying that before the update, you beat the Wayne bot many times?

There is a report link in Android settings for reporting problems.

Same issue here. Sent a bug report. Hopefully gonna be fixed soon.

Yep same here, very frustrating. Beating Martin is usually a stress reliever and good fun, now it's just stressful. All bots on Android now play at 1800+ easily with 90%+ accuracy.

Well, I hope everyone made a report using the Report Problems link in Android settings.

I know that I'm not the best player in the world, but when Wayne (Ranking 250) kicked my butt with 94.6% accuracy, I knew something was wrong.

I've also submitted a bug report throught the email address given in the Android Settings.

idk... but I use comp, and that never happens lol.

Yeah via the website they are all fine it seems. Just the app they seem to be inflated. Was wondering why I was losing so much haha.

I'm having the same bug here. I thought chess.com was just trolling me cry.png

thanks for the info, after two hours of panic and hearing from my analyst I realized it was a software problem

Reported this the other day.  Can't find my post anymore.  You can tell there is difference by just playing the same bot on the Android App and then again on the website.  They perform totally differently.  Really annoying.  No word from devs.

Thanks everyone for the reports and apologies for the issue, we are working on this.

I won a piece quickly against Wayne...

But managed to lose.

It certainly played better than I would expect a 250 to play.

I almost beat Wayne! Give me another couple months of hard work and I might break 250!

Tomas is averaging

Tomas is averaging .. perfection... Prior to the February 17 Android update I would win 80% of the time against Tomas... haven't won once since then.  Chess.com Tomas is the same as before. Literally one mistake and it's game over :/  If I wanted a 1600 Bot, i would choose a 1600 Bot

bots broke

The problem seems to endure still and is related to android app, as noted by previous comments. Just noticed it when playing with my android tablet, then switched to playing with computer on the website against the same bot and difference was clear.

terrytodd925

Martin crushed me today with 97.6% accuracy... I was wondering what was going on!

Even the Beginner Engine set to the lowest level (250) is playing with 90%+ accuracy, this is with a paid membership so it's frustrating to say the least.
