Computer Rating

I played the computer level hard (2000+), won in 7 moves. I am sure I did not set the computer strength properly. How do I make sure the computer is set to the hard level?

Is this in live chess?

You said you were sure you did not set the computer strength properly so of course you could win in 7 moves.

LlordLlama - It was not a live game. Cathan I am sure you are right. If I start with the Queen's pawn, the computer plays much better.

I have 3 questions you all can help me with. 1) How can I play a game with 1 or 2 hrs time limit instead of 3 days?, 2)  How can I play against the computer with a rated game?, 3) Is the live game computer stronger?.

1) I don't think you can.

2) The only way is on live chess, I think.

3) Probably not.

Thanks Cathan. I think the Computer 4 is stronger, but I don't realy know. I have been playing against real oponents which is a lot of fun.
