Computer workout - ?level

After I solve the computer workout puzzle I always continue with the game. I start with an advantage but in the middle game puzzles the computer slowly overtakes me. I assume it is playing at top level to find the best moves. Is this correct?

Yes, when playing in the Computer Workout the computer moves should be the best moves according to the computer chess program.
