Disappearing Board

Are there glitches occationally where boards simply won't show?  In a game I was just playing the board disappeared after I submitted a move.  I submitted the move, but when the board reloaded it reloaded as an empty board.  None of the pieces showed.  I hit refresh, left the game and came back and then went to a different game.  Same thing.  The board shows, but none of the pieces do.  And I can't make any moves because I can't select or see any of the pieces.  Is this just a glitch that happens sometimes and will go away?  Or is there something wrong here?

happened to me a couple of times, but only lasted for a couple of seconds, i think it's a little glitch.

erik

that is not normal. what browser? do you have any weird plugins that could be blocking javascript or images?

dbingham

Firefox 3.0 running on Ubuntu Linux.  Only plugin is webdev.  None that should be blocking javascript or images.  It's possible it's a script time out, I'll have to check that when I get home.  By default Firefox stops scripts that run too long...  I didn't think to check that last night.

Nope, wasn't that at all.  Yeah, so it's just not loading the board for some reason...  and it's not that the script is taking too long and getting killed.

well this is really weird. it isn't a known code issue because it's working for everyone else.... i don't know what to say. of all those issues above, it would be the EmailChess.v44.js file. perhaps you should entirely clear all browser files and try again?

these errors are occuring for ie6.0, ie 7.0,firfox 3.0..i just could not understand why  i could not play games at chess.com  while there is no problem at other similar websites like chesshere.com

I see issues with the pieces not being redrawn properly from time to time (with Firefox 3) but I've not looked at the error console when it happens.  My workaround is to minimize/restore the board window with the controls on the board's top right corner.  Clears it up every time.
