Once a game starts, the server gives you 15-20 seconds to make your first move. If you fail to do so it will automatically abort the game.
If you believe that the game is being aborted before 15-20 seconds have passed, this may be caused by lag.
What operating system, browser and browser version are you currently using?
I am using Google chrome version 27.0.1453.110. So what do I do now. ??

So, I suggest you try to move within that time limit for your first move :)
Well its not happening now but it was getting aborted even before 20 seconds. I presume it maybe due to slower internet speed so that by the time my board was displayed already the opponent had made his move on his board. Anyway thanks for your concern.
i have exactly the same problem and have been consistently penalised for the last 3 weeks. Recently my clock has been freezing, jumping time and showing me it is an opponents move while they are messaging me to hurry up. Its become hopeless and i have asked for it to be rectified to no avail. Your not on your own. Sadley i also have no solution.

Hmmm... I've been playing and sitting for a minute or so without the opponent auto aborting before they make their first move...
Hi I am facing a problem as some games I start on Live Chess automatically get aborted though I am not aborting them. It also says computer aborted the game but I get a message after that,that I am not following the rules and today it happened again and now it says I have to wait 5 minutes before starting a new game as I have aborted the game and not followed the rules so I am penalised.Please let me know what to do ??? I am not aborting any games myself .
