Hi. Maybe someone can help verify something for me. In a game IIwent to chat to introduce myself but noticed that when I tapped "enter" all text remained in light grey. When I refreshed the page my chat was gone. Does this mean my opponent has disabled the chat feature as a global setting for his matches? I just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with chat suddenly. All my other games have been fine iro chat feature functionality.

It might mean that. However, he could have just disabled the chat in your game.

Was my first message. Hence I assumed it is just therefore off permanently...as I had not even started a chat.

It got me thinking as to why people would disable chat as a global setting. Maybe they have had a bad experience with rude and nasty players? I have had that happen only once to me. So I don't know how prevalent game trolling (if that is the right word to use) is.

Personally...I like to introduce myself....like a handshake in otb play. The only person one can't say hello to obviously is the computer happy.png. Now there's an idea. Imagine a Siri type game bot.

That is one of the Lewis chess pieces, found in a cave on an island off the coast of Scotland.

Aaah! Yes I have heard about these chess pieces, but never read in depth about them. Fascinating. Thank you for the link. I wonder why the pawns were in tgt shape of an obelisk? The detail on the pieces is quite intricate (I have studied art so I guess IIcan relate to the amount of man hours needed to carve so many pieces!!). They do have quite a character each piece. I can just picture a nobleman of the 1500s having such a set in his castle to entertain guests with.
