game update failed (online chess)

I keep getting a game update failed for online chess on my mobile. This problem only seems to only occur against a number of players. Has anyone experience this before and know how to troubleshoot this problem?

I am getting it to against a player that was using premoves. Not sure if it is related to the issue or not but it is the only difference besides being a premium member that I have noticed. It is very frustrating. It won't even let you resign.

Same thing is happening to me. Ie. "game update failed" message. 

Using iPhone 6s. Been happening since I woke up this morning. 

Hopefully it gets fixed soon as I am about to loose on time.

Redownloading also worked for me. Noticed ads on the app now, not sure if they were there on my old version. Fair enough so long as they're not there in-game!

I just started to have this problem today. It’s on the long term games only - I don’t know what they call them (the open challenges where you have 1 to 14 days to make a move). Reinstalling did not help me. I did submit a ticket though. Does anyone else have this problem right still?

Have same issue from today. “Game update failed”. It is only for correspondent game 5 days per move. Regular game is working.

For now access chess.com via a mobile internet browser - Safari or Chrome. I doubt it is the app. Must be server side command bug of some sort. I hope someone has contacted  membersupport@chess.com via e-mail and reported the issue? I hardly use the apps as the wet version (even the mobile version) has way more features.

This should only be impacting iOS. Developers are being engaged.

 

If you are close on time on any games, using a mobile browser may be a good workaround until it is fixed.

We're on it! Sorry for the trouble guys  Martin is correct, anything but iOS app works. So you can use the browser on your phone in mean time.
