Check your online chess settings and verify that you have the following option checked:
Auto-Win on Time
In the first game, you can just resign if you want; ratings won't change as not enough moves have been made.
Game won't end after timeout

I have two games that have timed out and neither game has ended.
I know if you time out after 3 games in a row, rating adjustments don't happen but for one of these fellas I'm his only game and he has had <1 minute on his clock for somewhere around a week now. Is there any reason these games (correspondence) are not ending?
