Hacking clock at Chess.com
....and for good reason - as u seem unemployable.
I retired comfortably in my 40s, but I'm hardly unemployable
.
It would be a kick to see your career progression, I would guess.
I forgot that you are one of those "must have the last word" posters. Well, go ahead I guess...it's going to be bad for your gall bladder if you don't get it.
Lola's last word:
Yeah Lola called me stupid because she is just trying to keep a thread up that has already an answer and needs no further discussion.
I'm experiencing an intermittent disconnect problem. I play at the library and the college and experience the problem in both places (usually the city library). I lose my connection to chess.com for no apparent reason. Recently I have been losing games because I'm disconnected for more than one minute. No one else nearby is having connection issues. Both the library and college are reliable. Is anyone else having these kind of issues?
From @Nobuo
Yes Ghostess_Lola. After participating in this forum, i experienced what you are describing (even though in the past, my PC/internet never gave issue of inability to connect with the site. This happened for about 2 days (in past week). I would be able to connect to the home page, but beyond that i was unable to click on anything else on the site, and i had to reboot computer to fix issue each time. I also experienced an onslaught of time cheaters, and have reduced my playing here in the past week.

Love how you were having problems with the site in general, and ALSO in the exact same time period an "onslaught of time cheaters", as if they were entirely separate experiences because you felt that the latter involved malicious and purposeful cheating perpetrated on you. Maybe you are having a PEBKAC issue.
I came back into chess.com after many days, and faced the same type of cheating that Lola was talking about earlier. I played a game against [name removed, public accusations not allowed -- VP]. He won the first 2 games, and accepted my challenge again. But this time, he got into a lost position (Mate in 3 moves). That was exactly when it was declared that "my connection to chess.com was lost" and i could not move. (It was quite likely him disconnecting if i judge by the number of complaints on his profile).
(NOTE - my internet was just fine beacuse my browser could connect to other websites, and my wifi STATUS clearly showed strong signal and connectivity to my router). Now, i tried closing the browser tab to chess.com and came back into website with fresh reload. My timer had run to 1 second by then, and he won the game by cheating this way. Nothing could be done to reconnect, while I faced this type of cheat for the first time. He won the game on timer with this cheat.
I have had clock cheats get me several times. It is always when I put them in a pickle ... then the clocks on both sides start to flash for several minutes. Then it says I lost. This is very frustrating. No honor with these cheats. So I report them and block them. What else can one do?

Your opponents are not hacking the clocks and they can't impact your connection. Only the server handles the clocks and the clients don't directly connect to each other.

you've been a lost cause for years
thats not funny cuz its kinda true. tho ive learned to embrace my shortcomings (s/t u should do) ignore my longcomings and ride the teeter tooter in btwn.

Looks like this guy is an employee of chess.com who has the job of trolling forums and posting long messages (as if that would change the fact that something fishy is happening at this site). My intention is report "a potential bug" that is hard to trace. Go talk to your developers and make the site better, rather than posting essays here as if that is going to change the EXPERIENCE of players at this site. Go take a look at lichess.org if you want an example of how a chess client should operate. Posting messages that imply that all of us who complain are mad is not going to make chess.com any better. People do not trust words if their experience is not going to substantiate the claims you make.
Of course...if I don't buy into your notion, then it clearly must be because I have some stake in the company...because it couldn't be that you are flat out wrong
. That would be impossible. I notice you couldn't even begin to defend your posts, so now you retreat to "well, this is how I *feel* and it is my experience, and somebody should cater to my concerns..." (even if I can't support them).
This is funny, though. First time anyone has tried to claim I work for chess.com...
