I believe FEN only represents the current position. You need to dowload PGN for the whole game.
How do FENs work?

I used to be able to download FEN's - Now when I try doing that, my computer tries to download it as a .pdf file. Any ideas on how to fix that problem?

You don't download FEN, just PGNs. But if they are opening with a PDF viewer, it's something on your system doing it.
seems when i input the FEN it shows just one position
i want the whole game, cauz the PGN does not download, and i dont have all day to wait
