I can make a puzzle, but how can I make it where it moves first and then I move? Does anyone know of a good puzzle creator website as well so that I can use cool features that chess.com does not have yet? Thanks!

PS. Check out my profile background! 🦅

That's not an option

Yep, that won't happen for the very first move, but it does for all subsequent moves until solving the puzzle.

Ok I see just was wondering because they can do that for the daily puzzle. Could you recommend to chess.com that they add that feature and perhaps have a whole section devoted to puzzle creations? Thanks! 🦅

It is certainly an amazing idea with plenty of room for cool stuff, for example I can imagine something like having to click a "Solve Puzzle" button in the diagram and then it would sort of "reveal" it, thus doing the opponent's first move as you've suggested.

On the other hand, sometimes we do think that a feature implementation would be a simple thing, but from the dev side it isn't. So we can't really promise if/when it gets implemented: the team does receive a huge amount of suggestions and couldn't possibly work on every single one. Nonetheless, these are always appreciated.

What you can do is send your suggestion to the team, adding all details you feel would be relevant for that feature and how you envision it, what it would achieve, and so on.

Also, what is the difference between badges and awards? I see the spot to send an award, but not a badge

Awards is the general denomination for the whole group of, well, awards.
Right now there's Achievements, Medals, Badges, Cheers, Books, and Passports.

Achievements are obtainable by performing certain tasks or reaching certain goals.

Medals are the ones you get from tournaments.

Badges are awarded by your opponents from completed games. You can award these by going to a completed game, then go to the Info tab, and select Send Award.

Cheers are the ones you get from people that visit your profile and send you an award.

Books are from different openings you've played.

Passports are from different opponents' nations.
