To turn it on, go to online chess, and settings. You have to have moved in all your games first. If you were a premium member it would turn on automatically when needed.
I think you start with 7 days and accrue extra over time.
Presumably if you turn vacation on when you have, say, 3 days left to move, then you will still have 3 days left when you turn it off or it runs out a week later. But I can't confirm this.
Well, the idea is that I'm leaving for weekend, which means about 3,5 days of not being here. So I just wanted to get 1 day so I could have about 12 hours left when I come back.
I dom't want to waste 3-4 days, because later I'm leaving for 11-12 days and I'll have less vacation for that occasion...
Kacparov, the only way to only take a day of vacation as you describe would be to get a premium membership, and let the auto time-out protection kick in. As for later, you don't say when you are leaving, but you do get two days of vactation time added to your account every month.
Please show how I can have a short vacation. My laptop is under repair.
