How to chat during game?

I cannot figure out how to chat with my opponent during a game.  What's the secret?  thanks.  SirReal

You type in the bar and hit send. Are you possibly hitting "submit move" rather than send (or enter, I can't remember which)?

But yeah, there are seperate buttons :). I goof it up all the time.

There is no bar on my screen.  I minimize, scroll up and down, move the board around, I can't talk during games

there's a small bar just under the messages window... Remember to hit "send" or push enter before you hit "submit move", or (if you have several pending moves) your message will go to the wrong person. It's a bit embarrassing...

Ah, I think he might be talking about livechess, I had this problem all the time.  You have to resize the window and then resize the chatbox!  I hope the staff have fixed this by now though.
