i cant move my pieces

what do i need to do? pieces just fly back to their original spot. thanks

does that happen while playing? if so ur king might be in check.

Is this happening in live chess or online chess? What browser and operating system?

first off, no my king is not in check cause i cant even start a game, thanks for the reply though.

its happenening in live chess, with google chrome and windows 7. same as ive always had. not sure what has changed to cause this

Do you have move highlights enabled? Any extensions on your browser? Do you click and drag to move pieces or click the piece you'd like to move and the piece you'd like to move it to?

Mine jump back quite often when I play on PC with Google chrome on windows 7.

I think the only time this has happened to me is when it wasn't my turn or I was trying to play an illegal move.

Is it happening during games?

It only does it on my pc. If I keep trying it does move the piece eventually. It is very annoying though. Don't have that problem on my mobile.

@kayak21- do you have any plugins on Chrome? Are you clicking and dragging the piece or clicking and clicking to move?

Hi, I click & drag but it jumps back. After several attempts it usually works, if not I switch to my mobile.

still nothing is working.....this is driving me crazy

are there any other programs i need to be running?  and it doesnt matter if i click  or drag pieces

It is very annoying but I think the problem is with windows 7 and Google chrome. Try it on internet explorer.

I had problems with chrome and windows 8.. pieces not moving - or moving to adjacent sqaures.

I'm using IE for chess.com now.. and all seems well. Have you tried a different browser?

digforfire .... Do you have a smartphone? if so, play on that. I play my moves on my phone.

nah, i have a dumbphone.....it should work on the laptop, i just dont get it. i just installed java and it helped a little bit

also paused adblock and seemed to help alot
