Try lowering your minimum rating or increasing your maximum rating.

I had the same problem. Where it has "choose an opponent" click RANDOM' then change the rating requirements.

actually i was thanking Ziggyblitz cuz u didnt help at all.. u said the exact same thing that the stupid message said without helping..
but it turned out that i was suppused to go to the label Random when choosing an opponent just for the first time coz i dont have a rating yet in chess960
