live chess mutes all my sound

No idea how or why, but when playing live chess all of my sound gets muted. It doesn't show as muted in the sound mixer or anything but it is. Can't resolve it without restarting my pc.

Any idea what could be causing this?

It seems to be somehow related to running youtube and livechess at the same time, but I'm not sure why or how.

I have a similar problem. Initally there will be sound when I start a bullet or blitz game. After about a minute of playing the sound will mute and stay muted. If I close my Firefox browser and reopen it and start another game, the same thing will happen. Sound for a minute then mute.

This never happend to me before until about a month ago.

This except for me it mutes sounds of all applications I launch after the mute happens.

Also sometimes randomly it will make a sound again (when moving a piece) only to be muted again next move.
