Yes you should have two minutes to reconnect to the game. I'll see if i can replicate it.

I have also had this problem, except it is rare that I don't lose about 30 sec. after an interruption reconnects! I am using Internet Explorer 8 with Windows 7.

I have also had this problem, except it is rare that I don't lose about 30 sec. after an interruption reconnects! I am using Internet Explorer 8 with Windows 7. I have a DSL connection and this happens on my older computer (Explorer 7 with Vista).

I have experience this in the last few weeks as well. Almost always when I am winning. It has cost me several games. It usually only drops for a few seconds but even if I have several minuets left I lose on time. Based on my limited experience I would say this is mostly deliberate by my opponent.
I am not overly upset about it since as Godspawn has pointed out the rating doesn't mean a lot outside of this site. But if that is the case why have a rateing at all.
