Menu bar stuck at top after FB login

Hi,

I am using v3 mainly on chess.com.

Today I have opened it up from Facebook accidentally and now on the chess.com website the menu is at the top.

I cannot move it back to the left side and I cannot even log out. It just shows the same menu as in the FB app.

How can I restore my menu position?

Thanks,

Peter

Try clearing your cache. If that doesn't work delete your Chess.com cookies.

Yes, I thought someone is going to suggest that. happy.png I was just hoping for some settings option or some buried menu point to set it back...

Clearing cache does not help.

Deleting chess.com cookie sorted it out. There was something in it about FB.

Anyway thanks, for your help.

Forgive me if you already know this. There is an icon at the top between [Old Chess.com] and  [? Help] to move the Menu to the left.

Also:

Refreshing the page sometimes helps

Ctrl + F5 is a 'hard' refresh

It might be a browser issue. You can try using a different browser to make the change.

Hey Wormrose,

Yes it should have been there, but it wasn't.

There is a bug. If you use the FB app then the cookie will contain a flag that says you are using the FB app (or something related).
Because of that flag the menu stays at the top and there is no icon to change it to the left. Because you are using the app, there is no log out either and "Old Chess.com" link.

Also because it is in the cookie, CTRL+F5 is not going to help.

The only solution I've found is to delete the cookie.
