now with the new update(s) the notification comes in the notification area but there is no vibration or notification light so basically it is useless unless you are staring at your phone
I've been having this issue for months, thought it was me until now.

This app is getting worse and worse. I consider leaving this site - I dont want to pay for such a bad application.
Same here, just got a Nexus 5 and was bummed to find this feature not working. It worked fine on my iPhone. Please fix, I would like to know when it's my move.
Just did an update over the weekend (v3.1.14) and the notifications seem to be working now.

I had the same problem on my Nexus 4 and just figured it out!
In the app store there are 2 versions of the chess.com app:
1. Classic Chess (This one is the problem one that doesn't show notifications for me)
2. Chess.com - Play & Learn (This is the newer - and much better version of the chess.com app. I just unistalled the Classic Chess one and installed this one, signed in, and the notifications work great now.)

Glad to hear that! Btw we will soon remove Classic version, because it won't work with new web site.

The chess.com app seems to have errors as well. Turn based chess constantly hangs on Android.
Are there plans to correct these errors?

Hello, since two days me and a friend of mine don't get notifications anymore. When I open the app, suddenly it's my turn but the app didn't mention it. In the past the notification worked for both of us. Does anyone else got the same problem?
