Not refunded points for cheater

Sorry folks. But I had to come here since the AI chess.com has seems primarily designed to ensure that you can't get actual help.

I played a cheater several months ago. They were banned for "abuse" - By proxy, I never received my point refund since they were not banned for cheating (and seeming chess.com never bothered pursuing the account beyond this).

Is this standard?

If the account was not banned for cheating then you will not get any points refunded.

Just because you believe they were cheating doesn't mean that they actually were.

To add to the above, even if they do get banned for cheating you only get refunded if you played them in the last 30 days.

This was, categorically, a cheating bot profile. Not that you appear to think they exist.
But sure. I daresay you spam that reply a lot (and likely, in many cases with good reason). - But I know a cheater when I play one and actually report quite infrequently.

You may try to convert your evidence to points via the superb support bot

Wow, 9 days later and you're still crying about it. Maybe you should just get over it and move on with your life. It's not healthy to harbor this kind of anger and hostility.

Have you tried yoga? I hear that it really helps to calm people down and center your aura. Give it a shot bud.

It's possible the account got closed for abuse and hadn't been triggered for a fair play check. If it was reported and not banned for cheating, then either there was insufficient evidence of cheating or no evidence.

Refunds aren't given for games that are too far back, even if an account is later closed for fair play.
That said, discussions of cheating, potential cheating, or cheat detection are not allowed in the general forums. If you would like to discuss, join the following club. https://www.chess.com/club/cheating-forum
