Same thing happens to me from time to time. On one occasion, just for fun, I tried taking the opponents king and it worked.
My opponent got quite annoyed and accused me of not moving on purpose. I was moving, he just couldn't see it. Brought a couple of his buddies into the chat to help press his opinion that I was just being a sore loser. He simply wouldn't believe that I had none of his pieces on the board.
Happened maybe 3 times now and, as a result, I don't bother with Live games on the Ipad any more at all. My rating is bad enough without losing like that

Please check my last game. I'm an experienced player with 2000+ ratings. I've had this happen about 3 times on an iPad. The opponents move gets registered as null and the piece disappears from the board. I took a photo shot of the scree if you want proof. 11th move against Frank58 - white bishop disappeared. Got logged as null. I lost the game because of this error. May be a bug with iPad interface. I'm a computer programmer for the past 30 years. Chess.com is great we need to fix this problem.
