If anyone is experiencing the numerous problems I do, I do not know how they continue.  I can play along fine for a few games, and then suddenly, my mouse will not allow me to drop a piece where I intend.  (Lollapalooza saw that clearly tonight).  I have defaulted numerous times only because of that.  I have addressed my inability to activate the chat function to even tell an opponent what is happening.  I have lost connection several times, and although in what I consider a winning position, am dismayed to see the game recorded as a loss.

Thanks to all the wonderful players out there!  I think I will try to re-register, and if not successful, perhaps I can find another venue.

larry - we can help you out! what browser are you using? do you have an old computer? are you talking about LIVE chess or echess correspondence?

Thanks!  Will have to defer computer capability to my wizzard -- it's a Dell and not all that old.  Don't know if you can access previous correspondence related to chat, but have tried, as others have suggested to access settings, but the option to activate chat does not appear.  I feel like a fool when my mouse drops my queen in the capture position for a pawn when that was not the intended move, and I cannot even relate that to my opponent.  I must say, I have had, overall, a very pleasurable experience competing with some very skilled players.  Once in a while, you would like to complement one through the chat feature or answer their chat entry.  What I absolutely do not understand is the point loss to a disconnect when that is out of your control.  The second thing I can't understand is the problem with the mouse.  I guess I cannot accept that it functions very well for a few games and then goes into the mode where it will not drop a piece -- repeatedly picking up the piece from its current position, carrying it forward to an intended square, dropping it only to have it return to its previous position.  Why would it function well initially and then get into that mode?  Again, I appreciate any advice.  I may have to upgrade equipment or just cope!
