Online Chess Analysis Board

I went to look at an online game I completed.  I clicked on analysis board as I wanted to play with a few variations in the game.  The "analysis" board only allows me to replay the moves of the game.  I can make no deviations nor conduct any analysis.  Am I doing something wrong or is this a shortcoming of the online chess?

YES!!!!!!  It had never occurred to me to ask for this to be changed, but I can't wait!!!

It will also be interesting to be able to ask your opponent how he/she would have responded to a particular variation, then see where that would've went.

Would it also be possible to have a generic analysis board available, not tied to a current game?  ... like, under the learning section?  I have positions that I want to take a look at that I havent tried.

... maybe this is what the game explorer is for though now that I think of it... or am I wrong?

sweet!  Btw, the game explorer did work to the same end for my purposes... it didnt give me the percentages and everything (cause Im just a free player) but it did let me work the position out I was looking at!
