Willy, I think the explanations are:
* One can be online while vacation is switched on. For example reading the forums, playing vote chess, ...
(so being "online" and being "off vacation" is not the same thing, of course)
* A game is shown to be on vacation when one of the players in it is on vacation.
(So for example, when your opponent is on vacation and you are not on vacation, then the game will be shown as "vacation".)
Yes but my opponent is playing his move in other games. So for me it is strange that there is a possibility to and play and having the status on vacation at the same time.
I would almost think that the player is only (not on holliday) online the moment he/she moves (fraction of a second)
Then again, if it's possible to do this, i do not blame the player, but the system that allows something like that.
This player has been online at least 2 hours, and made at least 30 moves in 30 different games, but my game still says less then <1 minute (since several hours, almost a day now)
It's a chess.com bug, Staff are aware of it. He made moves in no-vacation tournaments.
Hello all,
I got a strange situation with two matches of mine, and i am wondering how it is possible.
One of my opponents has <1 minute left and is on holliday. But for a duration of hours long i see the online symbol next to his nickname.
I also noticed the the top name (lesser time) in it his/her online games keep chancing. As prove that they he/she is playing.
This is according to me not possible and still is see this happening, can someone explane that.
I do not mind the fact that the game goes on, but it is frustating to see that it is possible.
