There's no reason to curse, Live Chess is being improved, in the meantime, try switching to Firefox or something. Don't just post an insulting, pointless forum just to prove you're really really angry.

Seriously, there are kids on this site!

Jake_Green

I use firefox whats your point? Like I said, If I pay "premium" for membership I want good service not "being improved"

Hmm... something interesting I want to point out... membership doesn't pay for any part of Live Chess. Live Chess is a free service Chess.com gives it's members, so if you don't like it, well, that's pretty much that. You don't pay for it, they don't work non-stop on it. May I suggest trying another site for your live chess needs?

EDIT: You say you want good service? Look around! The staff does a great job. I mean, they could just leave Live Chess as it is, but they work on it for YOU.

erik

we try really hard to upset people who give us money. it's our top priority - making people angry. :)

if you had a disconnect problem, please do give more details. who dropped? which game? did you try to reconnect? are you on wireless? are you sure it was just chess.com and not your internet? what message did you get?

please give more specifics. thanks!

erik

was it this game? http://www.chess.com/livechess/game.html?id=1137000

Jake_Green, you said you wanted service, and when Erik, the owner of this site,  decided to listen to what the problem is, in order to fix it, you brush him off.If you think you can code better, try opening your own site. Let's see how far that gets.

Enjoy your day / night.

If you are a paying member you get privileges, it doesn't mean everyone starts kissing your ....
And paying also doesn't improve connection and such. If it would, It'd be kind of harsh to non payers wouldn't it?
If you could pay for personality, that might be a good investment.

Jake Green is just being a total troll.

The deveopers here have done an unbelievable job on the system.

I am VERY impressed and will be renewing if I continue to play chess next month.

Cisla

you pay to have more lessons (computer workout, chess mentor, etc) not better connection...

chrisacky

As a side note, your behaviour is despicable.

I provide support also for something in a similar market as Chess and if someone comes with CONSTRUCTIVE support requests they get a great response from me.

Someone who is just an idiot doesn't deserve anything but reciprocal responses.

The staff here are people too, insulting their hard work while you profess to be some master coder is pathetic.

Grow up.

TheGrobe

Bear in mind that you didn't pay for access to live chess -- that's a freely availble feature of this site so while you may have a legitimate greivance, the fact that you're a paying member isn't relevant.

You might try a more conciliatory tone and dispense with the not-so-subtly veiled threat of withdrawing your subscription if you want the staff here to respond in kind.

Erik's offered to work with you on this -- are you going to take up his offer or is your preference just to complain publicly and then ignore offers to help resolve your issue?

TonicoTinoco

Too much attention for such an idiot!

hsbgowd

You pay only for the mentor, email, videos etc but not for live chess, which is free.

No point cursing for "Free" service.

This site is the best out there.

If you want instant gratification, go join an adult site ;)

Like ChessXXX.com? Pawns in monokinis, Knights showing just a hint of ankle and group scenes where all thirty two pieces join in. Phwooaar!

erik are you trying to be cute or something? Instead of leaving smartass comments you should try fixing live chess.

I am done doing business with this website and I am glad I only bought one month membership instead of annual one. Someone with domain as chess.com should really improve their service. I can probably code better than that. Its really pathetic.

if i could program, i would do just that! but my job as owner of chess.com is very non-technical - i just monkey around on the forums and try to win people over with my charms and make them forget about how worthless the site actually is. but DARN!! once again, you have bested me. you should do my job, because you're even better at that than i am. i can't program as well as you, and i can't come close to matching your interpersonal skills. sigh - i'm useless. you should take the chess.com reigns.

Paranoid-Android

Erik, I bet he didn't think he'd also get an argument with his membership: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teMlv3ripSM

Hmm.. although I have made some harsh comments recently about a very specific aspect of the Live Chess implementation, this sort of sweeping condemnation of Chess.com is really over the top. The site overall is excellent and shows a real passion and attention to detail.

Disconnects can happen for any number of reasons - that's FOL on the Internet - not a fact of whether you pay for membership or not. They don't throttle your Live Chess connection based on your membership level (afaik).
