Please help me Mr. Macer

Some computer wise jealous menace destroyed my Chess.com experience. Now whenever I lose a game I'm automatically deducted 30 to 40 or even 50 points for the loss. Even when I win a game I'm deducted points instead of gaining points. No question some evil entity with too much time on their hands & a larcenous petty envious heart did this. My last game I won & was given points but many times recently I've won games & been deducted points instead. This is a nightmare of a situation for me. If Mr. Macer can look into it & help me I would be most appreciative.  I have no doubt this is an intentional hack by some petty soul I've locked horns with in the past on this site. My natural rating is about 1100 I know well & now I'm stuck in the 900's. Complete bull is what this is, Not funny & evil by nature, Please help me Mr. Macer.

In your last 25 games, your rating has increased in every game that you have won. None of your losses have large rating decreases either.

Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner sir, but as you know my services are in very high demand. Anyway, judging from your description of you problem, it appears that your computer has been infected by an Abominable 3-headed Hyena-fiend, which loves to play tricks on people of the sort that you mentioned. In order to get things back to normal, you must exorcize the fiend, by taking the following steps (which you must follow TO THE LETTER):

1. Fill a bucket with water (regular tap water is fine).

2. Leave the bucket in the freezer for 7 days and 7 nights.

3. Take the bucket out of the freezer, and balance it on your head until the ice has completely melted.

4. Add a bag of iodized salt into the bucket.

5. Take your laptop, and immerse it in the bucket. Make sure it is completely immersed - no part of it may be above the surface of the water. Leave it that way for 14 days and 14 nights.

6. Take the laptop out of the bucket, and leave it outside in the sun for 7 days and 7 nights (well... the sun won't be out during the night, but leave it outside anyway).

After you have completed these 6 simple steps, you will have succesfully exorcized the fiend, and you will be able to play chess normally on your laptop again. So please do as I say as soon as possible, and let me know if you have any other questions.

Format your disk and the Abominable 3-headed Hyena-fiend will surely disappear. It's easier, faster and cheaper than Macer's method.

Thank you for your detailed & precise troubleshooting Mr. Macer.  I will begin a serious & devoted effort & follow your instructions to the tee. It's a macabre merging of ancient alchemical & (perhaps to the uninformed) superstitious proceedings. But your reputation preceeds you & I am quite confident your advice is exactly what is needed to set my laptop straight. Is regular salt O.K or is Epsom salts or Mediterranean Dead Sea Salt preferable. As long as it's iodized like you said is any type of salt O.K.?

Yes, any type of salt is fine. As long as it's iodized. The Abominable 3-headed Hyena-fiend can't stand iodine.
