points in chess.com

I would like to know how we get points, is it by tournaments?

I don't know but can it be obtained by a post in forum?

I have take part in the tournament, but i have not get yet.

The points on the profile homepage only show how active a member is on the site... you get points everytime you post a blog, forum post, add a photo album,  etc .you can't do anything with them, just shows others if you are an active member on here thats all
