Premoves literally taking 2-3 seconds on occasions
This is for bullet chess, by the way. It makes me wonder how much of it is skill and how much is just latency.
I signed up for chess.com and it was a disaster. Moves were not executed after many attempts. But my opponents had no problems. I am mad and I want my money back.
maybe wifi problem??
It's likely somewhere along the path between the client and the server. But isn't the "lag forgiveness" supposed to compensate for this? The lag wasn't that noticeable today, but there are days where the timeout hits you a second after making a move, and that final move is dropped. That shows that the time deducted is more than as measured from the client's side, otherwise it would be impossible to make a move in the first place once the local timer reaches zero.

There is some lag compensation over a series of moves, but there are limits to how much is compensated.
