What i am trying to say is can you promote a pawn without declaring what you piece you have promoted to
this was over the board? his move isn't over until he has replaced his pawn with the correct piece. if replacing the piece makes him lose on time then he loses on time. the end.
I was playing a game we ended up in a time scramble my opponent promoted when i made my move my opponent took my king claiming he does not have to declare what piece he promoted to and said it was a knight after he took my king, is this correct
