"Not published" Blog-lifetime and need some advice!

Hello folks,

how long can "unpublished blogs" exist? Forever or will they be deleted after some time?

The next question is:

I'm making some larger beginner stuff and don't know if I should do all the lessons in one blog or seperate them with a blog with all the links. The puzzle diagram's need much space and I seem to have problems to place 2 tiny normal chess diagram (no puzzle, no movement) beside each other. In preview, they don't appear where they should and the other one doesn't load the content and still has the "Diagram Placeholder"-pic. Need some advice since I'm an perfectionist :)

Oh, and I'm a first timer regarding to blogs.

EDIT: 5 of my diagram's now only shows the Diagram Placeholder pics in one of my unpublished blogs..... I could need some help I have no clue what to do now since no matter what I do... they won't load their content now :(
