What's with the As?
They keep popping up everywhere. Is it a glitch?

[It's a bug, it's been reported - MG]

Now that the As have been fixed, I have noticed random question marks...

Weird.

For me the app has been crashing a LOT. It all started when the "â" went away.

This has given a clear signal to the spammers :-( quite a number have just sprung up.  The off topic forum will be totally destroyed.

I have to agree with the bunny on this one. The spammers now know that they can spam stuff. I sure hope you moderators know what you?re doing....but I trust you.

Yeah.

[No idea where you got that from - the whole premise of this thread is to action forum spam. I get that some people's definition of what constitutes spam may differ from the moderators, but hopefully people don't get it wrong more than once.

In any case, this thread is for reporting spam, not discussing what spam is and is not.

David, moderator]

True, but can you explain why the 100K comments forum has never been locked? I'. pretty sure you did back there, but now you are saying that it isn't okay.

It is spam, but not deemed actionable by Chess.com management - although there's a lot of posts, it's in the one thread that is in Off Topic and can be easily avoided by the community; the same thing on, say, the Daily Puzzle thread would attract immediate sanctions.

Would this be considered spam?

SnowyTheWolf

Okay I see now David, thank you.

SnowyTheWolf

No. That is the same post I have posted. This is an off-topic post. We will just ignore that. (I am following it, but not spamming on it) I don't spam.

Rocky64

The Daily Puzzle threads are now full of off-topic diagrams and games that seem spam-ish and make these very long threads even more confusing to read. Can these posts be deleted/banned?

Spam-ish, but not the sort of spam that the moderators will action, which is advertising and/or multiple posts in a very short period of time. Sorry.

MintWarrior
