Give an example of where you're seeing this and i'll check it out for you
Resolved: Site error ? (DELETE)

This is not a bug - see praxis-group-notes.

As Artfizz posted in response to you in that thread, the 'Delete' option is there to allow you to delete your own comments. It should show like this when you post notes on other peoples homepages aswell.

xqsme, those notes you're posting in the group, if you look at the posters below you, you'll see that the 'delete' option only appears under your own notes. This is to allow you to delete your own notes. Its supposed to look like that :)

Sorry still puzzled... only MY comments in PRAXIS bears this notation.. i am aware of normal appearance of my own boxes. Don't think my point is getting across... because of privacy ...only Praxisarians can see it ... so I will apply to group leader thanks.
Are you sure? Could you post a note in some of the other groups you belong to and confirm that you don't see a DELETE button on every one of your notes? It should be there!

From YOUR point of view, Donald: only YOUR posts contain the DELETE button. From MY point of view, only MY posts contain the DELETE button. You have to try looking at this from someone else's viewpoint.

Thanks got that OK...interesting to see Kohai comment # 6 .....Could be all-sorts going on there invisible even to site staff....which is why it can't be seen what I'm on about .
1. It is humbling to realise that staff can't see and do everything.
2. That is certainly one explanation ... and very likely the true one.

hehehe ... Donald I replied to your query in our Praxis group chatbox. Everyone has that "delete" word after their every post. I can see the word after everyone's post, including mine. I guess for ordinary members, they can see the "delete" word only for their own post, since they are not empowered to delete other people's posts.
To repeat, the "delete" is there in case our fingers run faster than our brain and we had typed something we'd rather not. So we delete our post. Like in the public forums of chess.com, just that if you delete your post there, the words COMMENT DELETED appear after the text itself is erased. I suppose as an eternal reminder that we had the temerity to post, then got cold feet too late.

Teja you can see it under all notes as you're super admin in there. You have the ability to delete abusive notes where needed. Anyone not super admin/admin can only see 'delete' under their own notes

Oh ok, thanks for explaining, kohai . You're so sweet. I had begun wondering myself if that was a bug!

Many thanks Teja, I do need a lot of explaining ! Sometimes I see things a little differently. On the other hand this has led me to a facility to see things many others miss and I am quite proud of several little gadgets/devices I have invented in my time, simple but nevertheless original, including a patent I currently hold which assists boatmen to moor their yachts in marinas.....this is NOT an ad.! And am working on one or two more so I can get bit absent - minded in chess ... Excuses excuses .Thanks too to my Friend ARTFIZZ who also sorted me out!
