Struggling to raise Puzzle rating due to (as far as I can tell) low ratings on puzzles being given.

I've noticed that a lot of the time I gain 5-8 rating (even with 85%+ of the time bonus left) for correctly solving a puzzle the whole way through and often lose 13-15 for failing on the first move. I've been slowly trending upwards just by solving more than I fail, but it's pretty frustrating to be getting mostly puzzles rated a few hundred points below my puzzle rating. Is this normal?

It does look like maybe the puzzle choice algorithm may have been tweaked some and is giving all lower than current rating puzzle. I'll bug report it.

Actually, it may only be impacting the apps.

I almost exclusively play on desktop, myself - I have seen four 1900-2100 rated problems in the past 10, and six 1400-1500 problems, which feels a bit weird to me.

I went ahead and did a batch on the website as well, after posting that second comment, and most of them were under my rating as well. So it does look like the algorithm is set to pick lower than it it should. It really should be on both sides of the current rating, probably more equal at that.

for me, i used to get puzzles ranging from 1600-2500, and now it ranges from 1800-2100. my puzzles rating is 2100, and i would prefer the puzzles to be much higher.
