Tags in Library feature

I am starting to use the library feature here and am struggling to understand how to use tags. I would like to have different tags for different games in the library. For example, in a library of French games I am creating, I would like to tag some as Tarrasch, some as Classical, etc. This does not seem possible. I seem to be able to tag the whole library only. Does anyone have any experience using tags that they can share? Or is there an article or video somewhere that explains this? The introductory videos about the library feature don't cover this, I think I am right in saying.
