Team Vote Chess ?

I've noticed that sometimes the average rating of my team is shown, sometimes not. Sometimes the rating of the other team is shown, and sometimes it isn't. I'd like to see this info made available all the time, as well as being able to see how my team voted prior to posting my own vote. Is there some reason why the team's average rating isn't consistently available?

Personally, I don't care too much about the average rating, VC is driven by bthe stronger players more than than by the average. But if it's supposed to be shown, it's supposed to be shown all the time.

As for seeing your teammates' votes, I totally agree, I see no reason why this should be hidden. This has come up many times, and on occasion staff have indicated that they would look into it.

Another thing, in case of a tied vote, the last vote should be the default choice, not the 1st vote. The last vote is far more likely to be the result of more extensive analysis and discussion than the 1st one.

One more thing, comment tracking should be set to on by default. Maybe it should even be non-optional.

@rooperi: I like your ideas! However the games aren't always led by the higher-rated players, there's a fair number of lower-rated boneheads who apparently ignore the analysis and suggestions of much higher-rated players.although they are They usually get out-voted, but not always.

And in one game being led by yours truly (the highest-rated player on my team) everyone else followed my analysis...into a losing endgame :( That's one game I wish someone had disagreed with me!

Just a thought:

Maybe the average rating is not shown when there are unrated players in the game?

Perhaps it doesn't know how to calculate it....

Was it like that when everybody had a rating too, or is it a new thing?

It's been sporadic for quite some time, and I would guess unrated players would be counted as 1200, but actually I just made that up
