Themes not loading

I wanted to change the theme, but when I go to the themes section the themes doesn't load at all. When I select a theme, it just says downloading background and nothing else happens. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Which app version do you have? If Android, you might try clearing the app cache.

On a very early version of the app, on my tablet, I had to rotate the screen occasionally to get things to load. Sometimes had to wipe the app data, sign in and set things back up. Haven't messed with that in a long time.

I was getting adverts as well even though premium member so uninstalled and reinstalled . Now can load theme.

correction to my last post - meant to read now can't load theme. it's in a repeating cycle trying to download. Not been impressed with chess.com lately.
