How long will it take for ChessCom staff members to verify my chess title form I submitted?

Are you actually a grandmaster?

Hey rockland,

If you submitted title proof using this form - http://www.chess.com/members/submit_title_proof

Then it will take a little time for our staff member to verify the information. It can take over 24 hours at times.

Yikes-another person who gets a title from one of those youth championships. I think FIDE should do away with those "titles" altogether, it doesn't seem fair to those much better than that person and still untitled.

Youth championships?

Yes, FIDE gives titles for high placings in some youth championships. It is the case here, check his FIDE profile.

Well, I'd like a CM too - I'm a class master in our high-school. Laughing

That doesn't count. In case you weren't aware, CM stands for "chess.com master," and is a title that you get for winning a tournament on chess.com.

I thought it meant Confirmed Midget.

Please do not intentionally insult the accomplishments of CMs, who earned their title through determination and hard work.

The title is only given for a few specified tournaments. Unfortunately, the one that you won wasn't one of them. But congratulations on your victory anyhow!

Hey, you forgot talent! (assuming that it exists).

Twenty four hours is a long time to wait, but it will pass.

Congratulations on your result. :)

In a world where 10 year old 1600s are CMs

Is that what this whole "youth championships" thing is about?
