No, I get a message box from the system talking about unfair play. And so do some of the aborted games. As far as my internet provider, it handles WoW, EQ2, etc with no problems, so probably not that. But I'll mess around with the settings a bit.
Unfair Play
Resigning will never flag the 5-minute restriction. Several other things will, though. See here: http://support.chess.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/171/13/fair-play-policy
Thanx for the link. I think what is happening is that I've been clicking start game, then when nothing happens, I click it again. So when one of the clicks work, I've got an aborted game with the other one.
Could that cause it? If so, Should I just log out when clicking the start game button doesn't work?
It's actually pretty clear the system is aborting the games but I'm being penalized. No worries, there are other sites. But I like the forums and other tools available here, I may become a paying member anyway.
I had the same problem. But you have to wait 20 seconds before the server aborts the game. If you abort the algorithm apparently makes you the 'bad' guy. also set your min / max to something like -50 / +200.
I have the same problem with the reconnect,... so it is not you and I am not in the USA.
But I only get knocked off the server when I am playing a better player 150+ and I am winning.

On first glance this site seems really unimpressive, but because so many people like it, maybe it's me. My questions are....
Why is it "unfair play" to resign a game?
Why does the server have to reconnect constantly?
Why are so many games "aborted" by the time I see them? And it seems like I'm being blamed for them. What's that all about?
In short, if I'm doing something wrong, please let me know what it is. I'm not a very good player yet, but I like to play, and would rather not be in trouble all the time.
