You lost 5 minutes out of nowhere?
The fact that you were winning doesn't have anything to do with it, by the way. But if it is a technical issue, that would need to be fixed.
time lag loss

Im saying I lost instantly the clock jumped in a split second.I protested to staff but they say it happens to them also .The explanation I was given was that I was the victim of a internet time lag ? One moment Im playing & mopping up the board with my opponents army & about to checkmate him when the clock just jumped from 5 min & ticking down to ....YOU LOSE ON TIME .I am disgusted & as I was coming out of a slump & wanted the win to improve my rating .Thats why I posted this topic ,I have heard from many others that it also happened to them. Hard to take a loss that really was a win.Go to my live chess games & replay it Danhiller vrs soldierpiper.
I'll tell the news agencies to quit covering Japan so that they can devote their resources to this travesty, a truly horrific story of a won blitz game lost.
Or, you could forget about it and play another game.
I know , Im not talking world problems ,this is a chess site so of course I am talking about chess.I am playing other games by the way.

I understand ,it is nothing compared to life happening out side of the chess world.I have lots of other games going the live blitz I only have 2 games .I will forget it after I have run it out of my system ,this is a chess site & not the world is ending site so here you will hear me talk chess concerns ideas etc.In the real world of course it is a different story but that would be another website not this one.
It's a shame a person can't discuss a chess problem (on a chess site I might add), without someone making a rude remark.
I agree , some of us like to play chess to help forget for a few moments life away from the chess board.Thank you mountainsong

I won that game .Just was robbed by the time clock glitch .How do you think that would have gone OTB ?Anyway Im happy with my play in that blitz game just not pleased with the technical glitch that caused me to lose .By the way OTB I was rated 2100 + in my hay day 26yrs ago.This computer stuff is,nt so honest as OTB .
I DONT HAVE MUCH TO SAY ABOUT IT IM JUST A TURTLE.

You are not the only one, in bullet games with 1 minute per person play, I have actually watched my opponents clock go from 11 seconds all the way back up to 35 and that kinda sucked lag ruins the flow of this

Yes ,it is frustrating but at least by posting this problem maybe Chess.com will find a way to fix it in future games what with better technology these days a fix could be possible.When my clock jumped from 5 min to 0 I was shocked at the time lag to my game.Oh well Im happy with my play in that blitz game just not the time lag that cost mea win.
Chess.com any fixes in the works for this ? Im thinking of up grading if that helps.
Whilst Japan is a great catastrophe disaster, we all have heart felt moments listen and seeing it on the news, but for those who have pointed this out above, and are using it to belittle some ones effort of relaxation on here playing a game that perhaps takes them away from the outside world and the tragedies that surround us, yes this gripe may well be petty and insignificant, but like your responses I am left to wonder how important do you treat what has happened? You’re here on site, reading and answering the post? I am watching a tv advert about 4,000 children a day are dying, because of lack of clean water do I care any less no I don’t.

well, no offense to your majesty, but you didnt have much rating or winning percentage to lose in the first place, so why are you so mad?
see( danhiller vrs soldierpiper blitz ,) a new rule should be made that when a opponent has a very clear won game that he should have a time loss reversed.My clock had 5 min & then shazam i lost a won game .Not fair
