He was rated 2246 when I "beat' him, although he didn't seem up to form against me; I was doing pretty well when he was bagged...I guess his rating has dropped as all his unfinished games time out.

I'll certainly have a look at the game and get back to you.

It only takes a click to join the Cheating Forum, but don't bother. They don't tell you how anyone is caught and it's about as interesting as watching paint dry.

Shame that Forums aren't Moderated, detracts from Chess.com tremendously, particularly as a paying Member has posted under "Help and Support"

Anyway, has there been an appeal against this? (I'm not saying I know for definite that he hasn't been cheating, because I don't). Or should I just accept that he's been banned and that the decision is final and move on?

It seems you have got your answer to your original question. If you have futher questions please start a new thread or ask staff directly? Thread will be locked for the spamming (which is not allowed in Help and Support) as well as for the name-calling. Mod.

And yes, I'd say it was final.  I don't think these kinds of decisions are revoked too often.

He's the only one banned for cheating that surprises me. I wouldn't have thought it.
