Where are the moderators ??

this is a recurring bug. refreshing the page should work. 

A number of options have been removed from Homepages temporarily, to reduce server loads

Once things are stable and the site has implemented planned changes and upgrades, those options will likely return.

wow. sorry for the bad info, witty. turns out the site is even worse than i thought.

regarding the upgrades mentioned above, i expect a lot of duct tape.

Still no activity section.on.my home page.

Also when alert notifications are shown when clicked on.no messages come through.

Chess.com never returns anything they just charge more.

But  a side note if free members had to pay to post the server load would decrease.

I find that I cannot upload photos when I post on forums.The photos are perfectly proper .Is this a technical blip.?

If there is any other reason I should like to be informed.

Earlier I noticed that pre existing photos posted got blanked out They seem to have been restored

In the games I am currently playing it is my turn to make a move.When .try to move my chosen piece the piece is "frozen" and cannot be activated .What could be the problem.? Your advice please.

Is it for every game or a specific one? If every game try clearing your browser cache.

It was with every game and lasted quite awhile.Just returned to normal !

How prevalent is cheating? I returned after a few years away. I have only won one game. It seems as if even low level players never make bad moves.

Today I tried to post some posts in the forum's.In spite of my doing the correct procedure nothing appeared.

We are using the same system as you guys. I have reported the bug the official way and in the moderator chat and I am waiting to hear back.

If they required a credit card charge of $1 to create each new account, the entire chat/forums/spam problem would almost completely vanish.

i kinda doubt that. we see kids with premium accounts, so mommy and daddy don't seem to have a problem paying for their kid to leave them alone.

Yes, but when they get banned and then tell their parents they need another $1, and another $1...it ends quickly.

You would need to contact an admin of Team South Africa to find out. The @Chesscom account is not monitored and isn't involved with the club. It's a default account that sends site messages like that.

But my guess is you were denied for not having the flag of South Africa
