I mean what's wrong – lichess too has classical. They dont have any problem? I've heard many wishing for this but chess.com refusing it because of minor issues. Isn't it why you created chess.com? To face issues.
By what I mean is, chess.com is a great chess site. It faced a barrier of errors in January. They fixed it, (some small issues may not be gone) so why not make classical chess a new feature? It isn't like such a big thing anyway, so i'm sure that this is one thing what chess.com will be improving with.
Is there any doubts? I don't think so. If so, tell me why classical chess isn't suitable for chess.com. I mean It is the main time control! 🙄
This topic has been discussed many times in the forum threads. Although we may speculate why chess.com hasn't done it yet, we don't know for sure (and maybe they'll introduce it one day).
However, my hypothesis is that "classical" time control isn't as popular as most think it is and chess.com (knowing this) chooses not to implement it. On chess.com, 10 min "rapid" is the most popular time control and this is literally the largest chess site in the world, so we know the sample size is good. Most people don't want to invest the time for a longer time control game and especially so with online when you can't see your opponent (Are they even there? Did they disconnect? Are they playing honestly? etc.)
Even though the statistics show that longer time controls aren't popular on chess.com (you can still choose ANY time control in open seek games via custom and set your own time controls), I believe classical time control would be a great addition to the site. I believe that once it becomes a standardized category, then that will encourage people to begin playing longer games. I suspect that most people don't want to play longer time controls too often because they know the rating would apply to "rapid" and they could play more 10 min games in the same span of time as a much longer game.
Not to mention that this classical time control possibility has been asked about a lot, so it must have some demand going for it. I think it would be a nice option to have even if the wait time to get a game paired may take a little while.
my friend asked me, why don't we have a classical rating system?
she don't know how to make a forum, her message is down below. (don't attack me I already told her before but she still doesn't understand HOW)
Edit: Ragdoll don't scream it's okay...
