RIP (Chess.com account NOT IRL death)
What does rip stand for? And also, did he die?
"RIP" stands for Rest in Peace. @BulletM4ster did not die, he merely closed his chess.com account.
Doesn't say he closed his account...but his is very inactive.
What do you mean?

I feel like the term "RIP" when somebody closes their account is being overused nowadays — to the point of undermining the tragedy of a real death. Perhaps we should refrain from making such topics in the future?

or maybe changing the title of such topics to what I just changed it to?

No, I mean mourning an account closure as if the person at hand is gone for good may not be a great idea.
