Hi all,
It seems that Live Chess does not support the 50 move rule? In my last game I played 69 moves (from move no. 57 to 126) in a rook-vs-rook endgame (no other pieces on the board). No captures were made and there were no pawns on the board this whole time -- just the two kings and two rooks. I think the system should have declared an automatic draw after move 107 (fifty moves), no?
How did this happen, you wonder? My opponent was trying to run down my clock. I offered a draw three times and was turned down all three times. At move 126 I ran out of time and he won.
This seems like foul play to me. Rook versus rook, nothing else on the board, is a boring draw (unless there's an immediate tactic available). Is there a way to report it?
It's not automatic. You have to hit the draw button after you passed the 50 move point.
In this case, move 107. Did you hit the button after move 107?
