From what I've read on these threads, you are asking for the uimpossible from some people. Make a note of such peopole and chose not to play with them again.
A little sportsmanship please
I don't know why, maybe because it's halloween, but today is worse than ever:

A quick search of the forums (note the "Search the Forums" box in the top right) will reveal lots of threads of this nature. Your choices
(1) Report them to the chess.com staff (with screenshots if you've got them)
(2) Disable chat
(3) Ignore them
(4) Say something rude back
etc
Thanks all for replying. I realize probably not much will change, but I felt I had to vent my own frustration somewhere. It's funny though, being a Dutch guy living in the US I first had the Stars & Stripes next to my name which resulted in a lot of aborted games. When I changed to the Dutch flag, those have more or less stopped, but the insults have increased dramatically. Wonder what that says about some of the crowd here...?
Anyway, happy chessing y'all!
Sadly i have dealt with this too. And i find people will give a million excuses justifying such behavior. The best advice i can give is report them and block them.
As desperate as Frau mary is for deat, there must be a huge mosquito problem in das homeland
I write something like " it must be hard to be so insecure, goodbye"
then I block them immediately,
I also block anyone who accuses me of cheating. It would be quite an oxymoron to be smart enough to hack the site to cheat, and still want to do so.
Then I take a deep breath, and try to hope they find happiness.

Why do you give a poop if they find happiness?
Another one.

Best thing to do is probably "disable chat". I know it is hard not to say something back, but it's not gonna stop them anyways.
I have to say that I have not seen many insults so far.
Just to show you, that there are also decent players here:
GAME OVER - steltz02 vs. Toto-7 - Toto-7 won on time (+12). Your new blitz rating is 930.
Toto-7: gg
steltz02: gg
Toto-7: u deserved to win
steltz02: nah man
steltz02: time is time
steltz02: good win for you :)
Toto-7: thanks
steltz02: If I don't play within the time limits, you made me think enough, to cause me to lose on time
steltz02: that's always a win :)
steltz02: take it easy bud
Toto-7: u 2
Toto-7: ;-)
@Toto: I know, fortunately the majority are people enjoying the game of chess and being very sportsmanlike and courteous. Both good winners and good losers. Many of them better than I am :-). More than once after a slip of the mouse I had people offer me draws instead of taking advantage. And in a similar game as yours above, I had a great position but almost lost on time and my opponent gave me a draw.
So yes, let that be said as well. I really enjoy the community here. My rant was based on a couple of really bad experiences in a short time.
Anyway, happy chess playing to all of you!
Cheers,
Albert.

Thanks for posting this. It was refreshing to read something on the positive side.
Toto the higher the rating gets the bigger the grudge when losing :D, take grandmasters for example, shirov kramink, capa alekhine, korchnoi everyone else, the list goes on and on, when losing this ppl hate the guts of each other and basically say "ill never talk to u again ever in my life, u won against me in chess", there also have been marriage break ups and divorces resulting from loss of chess game ;)

Maybe that is why I never get mad when I lose!
I had another nice encounter with a player from Mexico, who offered me a draw, after I slipped off my mouse button.
Toto-7: slipped
jjjr: sorry
Toto-7: np
DRAW DECLINED: Toto-7 has declined a draw
Toto-7: no thx
Toto-7: u played better
jjjr: ok
GAME OVER - Toto-7 vs. jjjr - jjjr won by resignation (-3). Your new blitz rating is 928.
Toto-7: gg
Lately I've had quite a few players that were either sore losers or sore winners. Two examples:

after a win.
Can we please have some decency and sportsmanship on this site? I'm curious how other people feel about this.
Regards,
Albert.
