Android app keeps failing

This happens when I am playing on the android chess.com app.

Two times in a row I am waiting for my opponent to make his move. His time keeps decreasing. At some point I see game abandoned, with me losing points.

First game it happened after the 2nd (!) move.
Second game it happened after the 11th move.

I have had the same problem earlier tonight. I am assuming that it fails to update my opponent's move, as it sometimes took my opponents minutes to make an obvious move, and when he does the timers get changed accordingly (aka his time increases with minutes, mines decreases).

I also sometimes have to redo my move which I did minutes ago.

I've tried reinstalling before these two games. My network is stable as I am playing via wifi.

Any suggestions?

We have been getting similar reports. What version of android are you on?

Erik, any plans on adding an unrated TT mode in the Android app?

I would love to see the winboard board style there too.

Yeah, the Android ap is just so unstable. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled. 1) When you have been playing live chess and then quit for awhile, you cannot start playing again..,It will just sit there for ever or it will say re login and I will but still doesnt work, I have to kill the app 2) It just locks up for no reason and if I go out and come back it is counting down my ops time but then, in the end, I lose on time. 3)Sometimes it locks up and no matter what I do it just stays locked up, I can chat but thats about it. I have to kill the app and try to get back in the game before I lose on time but then sometimes it says that the game was abandon.. 4) Sometimes it just stops and restarts itself for no apparent reason. It has never been very stable but I have been using it for at least a year now and it was never this bad. I lose about 25% of my games this way..I don't know why I still use it..I guess I just like to lose :) I am also using 4.1.2

The same thing happened to me on the 14th Septrmber in a game against moka23.

I as on my samsung phone with Android Gingerbread 2.3.6
