chat in live chess

I haven't played for a few years. How come the chat in the live chess is gone? We used to talk all the time back in the day...

how do i use it? I only saw a tech support windown in the chat

Ah, I see what you are asking. Generally chat has been moved to groups/clubs; there is no main chat area at this point.

And with the exception of debate+ (which may have a dozen or so people) pretty much one one chats in those groups.

The main hall chat?

Gone.

People flood to help and support... which chatting is limited... to help and support.

Chess.com, can we admit that the group chat isn't really working? If people want private chat in a group - they can do that - but please bring Main hall back.

So I can't talk to players? For instance I can't say into the main room "hey does anyone want to play a Ruy Lopez Exchange variation game or two with me?"

So you eliminated the chat, made an article that said "chat comes to live chess" in order to make it look like you're enhancing the chat, and then put up a smiley face with an evil wink on it?
